hi Abhishek
I want to buy 45''-50" LED TV
would buy UHD or Full HD ?
what is difference between them
my budget is 65-70K
please suggest brand and model

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

UHD has more pixels as compared to Full HD. Just like you go for a higher megapixel camera to get better picture quality. You go for a UHD for better picture quality. Imagine a picture being created by joining dots. Try to remember our childhood activity where we used to draw pictures by connecting dots. If the dots were too far away and you joined them to create a picture, the edges would not be smooth (especially if you joined them as straight lines between two points). But if there were lot of dots and quite close to each other. Then the image will be smooth and the borders will be neat. So the difference between 4K and Full HD is that there are more dots (or pixels) in 4K as compared to Full HD, so the borders would be sharper and neater.

However, you will not get a UHD from top brands in your budget. But if you want to look at economy brands then you can look at these:

VU LEDN50K310X3D-Ver2017 (Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/KOToTTuuuN ) ... This one is a really good model with HDR as well.
Philips 49PUT7791/V7

Otherwise if you are looking for Full HD then you can look at these:

Panasonic TH-49ES630D (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2kyVz2J , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/4~9gsTuuuN ) .... Fantastic TV with great technology and picture quality and sound quality.

LG 49LJ554T (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2uokgU0 )

Samsung 49K6300 (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2vi0B6X , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/eKLOR!NNNN )

If you are fine with Economy brand then the Vu model would be fantastic. Else Panasonic model mentioned above is a great product.

what are you suggest UHD (4K) and Full HD in SONY brand in these size

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

You cannot get Sony UHD in your budget. But in Full HD you can check Sony KLV-49W772E (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2rcDQMA , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/52oxXTuuuN ).

49 inch tv around 80k , sony ,samsung, lg
Give some idea.
Is ulrahd needed or go for full hd

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

At 49 inch UHD TV is not needed but it will certainly give better picture quality. You can look at these TVs:

LG 49UH650T (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2rPuyZ1 , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/8NkpUTuuuN ) .... Amazing TV and Flipkart Price is just mind blowing.

Sony KD-49X7002E (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2fsD8KW , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/DwiQpTuuuN ) ... A good TV with HDR

LG 49UJ632T (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2xDzVRb , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/qBajz!NNNN ) ... Another very good TV with HDR

If you want Full HD then you can check these:

Sony KLV-49W772E (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2rcDQMA , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/52oxXTuuuN )
Samsung 49M6300 (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2uojsPd , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/5vmy9TuuuN )
LG 49LJ617V (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2kyUdVH )

HI, How is Samsung 43KU6470/ 49KU6470 tv ,, is there better tvs out there than this, Had a look at the showroom and this was the best tv there, dont mind 43/49 inch. cant afford oled and qled tvs, Tv needs to have HDR 10/ 10+ and must have local dimming.
Thanks for your amazing work.

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

What is your budget for the TV?

I want a tv within 50k for 43 inch. best Picture quality with local dimming would be great. How about the lg nano cell tvs are they better and are they available within 50/60 k.

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Local dimming is a technology to improve contrast. If you want better contrast then go for a TV that supports HDR. HDR means a bigger range of shades of blacks and whites a TV can show. A TV that claims of having HDR can show a big range of shades of black and white (darkest to brightest). But how big? Well this is where the confusion lies and that is where Ultra HD Premium comes into picture. Ultra HD Premium is a standard, just like an ISO standard. It specifies a proper range which a TV must comply with to be Ultra HDR Premium certified.

And HDR does not make colors dull, because HDR is not a technology for color. For color you need to check for a technology for wide color gamut. Something like Nano cells in LG, or OLED in LG (which is the best for WCG), Quantum Dots in Samsung (or Purcolor, Active Crystal Display as well), Triluminous Display in Sony or Hexa Chroma Drive in Panasonic. These are technologies by these majors to get wider range of colors (bigger shade pallet for colors). A TV that has HDR + WCG technology that I can find in your budget is Sony KLV-43W772E (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2r8G6sX , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/epjqz!NNNN ). But LG 43UJ752T would certainly be far better than this Sony model as it has a few more advanced technologies like Dolby Vision, nano cell.

Hi Abhishek,

Sry wanted to add another point. LG 43UJ752T is around 90 k which has nano cell. is it really worth paying the extra for the technology. And read/heard that the HDR is not ultra HDR premiium certified. Does that make the colours dull ? whts the difference between these technology.

Hello Mr.Abhijit,

Is there any technical issue in using an Amazon Fire TV stick on a Smart-TV for better Smart-TV experience as I noticed from your reviews that OS on some of the Smart TVs are not so good (excepting few brands like LG)?

Thank you,

You can use Amazon Fire Stick on an Smart TV as well. Firestick will just need a HDMI port.

Hello Mr. Abhishek,

Hope you're doing well. Please suggest the best one or two among the following choices for 40"/43" FHD LED TV from the perspectives of picture quality, audio/sound, supporting video/audio formats and connectivity aspects.

(I am not particular of Smart TV unless you suggest any model for features, quality or reasons that are not available in non-smart TV. Based on one of your suggestions, I would buy Amazon Fire TV stick and convert it to a smart TV)

Here're my picks (you may suggest any other brand/model if it is better than the below models) and budget is within about Rs.30k.

Sanyo NXT 108.2cm (43 inch) Full HD LED IPS TV (XT-43S7200F), I understand this is a new release after XT-43S7100F
Sanyo 108.2 cm (43 inches) XT-43S7100F Full HD LED IPS TV
Vu 109cm (43 inch) Full HD LED TV (43D6545) IPS panel
Vu 98cm (39 inch) Full HD LED TV (H40D321)
Vu 98cm (39 inch) Full HD LED Smart TV (LED40K16)
Panasonic 100cm (40 inch) Full HD LED Smart TV (TH-40DS500D), not sure whether it has an IPS panel?
Panasonic Shinobi 108cm (43 inch) Full HD LED TV (TH-43D450D), IPS panel
Panasonic 109cm (43 inch) Full HD LED TV (TH-43D350DX), IPS panel. I understand this is 2015 model

I noticed from the reviews that Sanyo NXT TV, though good with IPS panel and good number of HDMI & USB ports, when playing mkv video and some hd movies, audio is not supported if it is in MPEG or AC3 format. Is it a big concern to refrain from choosing Sanyo? What about Vu TVs, does it support AC3 and most of video and audio files formats.

I have also read reviews that FHD LED TVs display better picture clarity only for HD channels and the picture clarity is not so good for normal cable channels. Is it so for all these makes (Sanyo, Vu, Panasonic etc.)?

Is response time more or less better (in one Vu model it is 8ms and the other it is 6.5ms)? Is it key factor to look at?

Thank you in advance for your suggestion and response.

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Hi Abhijit,

Sanyo and Panasonic are from the same brand: Panasonic. Sanyo was a brand purchased by panasonic and they got it in India to compete with brands like Vu and Micromax without diluting Panasonic brand (which is usually considered as premium because it has better technology).

AC3 is a surround sound format from Dolby Digital. It will be a concern if you play HD movies having Dolby Digital Surround Sound. All depends on the kind of content you play on TV. Also in the same segment, I do not see much of a difference between Sanyo and Panasonic. If the product price is close, then I would say go for Sanyo as it will be a bit cheaper and still a good quality product.

Response time does not matter much. If you are into gaming on TV then you should look at better refresh rate. And Vu LED40K16 and Panasonic TH-40DS500D have better refresh rate among all. I think you can go for Sanyo NXT or Panasonic TH-40DS500D.

Thank you Mr.Abhishek for your quick response. Hope you wouldn't mind clarifying a few more points:

Non-Smart TV:
Does Vu 43" FHD LED IPS TV 43D6545 IPS support AC3 format? If yes, would you recommend it over Sanyo NXT 43" FHD LED IPS TV XT-43S7200F?

Smart TV:
Does Vu 39" FHD LED SMART TV LED40K16 support AC3 format? If yes, would you recommend it over Panasonic 40" FHD LED SMART TV TH-40DS500D subject to Vu's price being cheaper (i.e.considerable difference between Vu and Panasonic)?

Does Panasonic TH-40DS500D support AC3 format?

Thank you again for your review and suggestions.

Hi Abhijit,

Vu LED40K16 is the only TV among your list which mentions support for Dolby Digital Sound. However, as I said earlier, it should be an important criterion only if you plan to play such format regularly. I think picture quality of Panasonic would be better and Sanyo will also be good. Picture quality is something that will matter every day. And this one sound format will be occassional.

I am looking for buying a smart TV with 49-55 inch size in the range update 75-80K, TV would be used for gaming and videos and hence need high native refresh rate ( more than 200HZ) . I am looking at Panasonic-TH-49ES630D (But don't know it's native refresh rate- just BMR 800hz is mentioned) , what do you suggest and i am open to any brand but with very good build quality and good user Interface.

Thank You

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Hi Ankur,

Refresh rate is something that most manufacturers do not specify clearly. They give some number to confuse the consumer. 800 Hz BMR is not 200 Hz Native for sure. But then I think this TV LG 49LJ617V would be the best in your budget and specifications.

Hello Abhishek,

Yes, I agree that refresh rate are not specified clearly or they are confusing. Thank you for the suggestion but the LG model that you referred has refresh rate of just 60Hz hence will not fit my requirement.

Is there any other model that you can suggest?

Thank you!

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Hi Ankur,

I am not aware of any model that will fit your requirements.

Dear Abhishek,
As there is less content on 4K and 3D, I want to buy Full HD LED of 55in or anything else as my viewing distance is from min 5ft to max 11ft while sitting on L-shaped couch. Main use of LED would be for songs, movies, news, serials, sports, etc. I have 2 yr kid at home, so pls consider this too.

Kindly suggest the best LED with budget as per above consideration.

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Hi Mohit,

All 4K TVs have upscaling (especially the premium brands have good upscaling). So they convert Full HD to 4K (they have software to fill in additional information). 55 inch is a big size and 4K will certainly look better as compared to Full HD. If you want a Full HD, then you can look at Sony KDL-55W800D (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2qgZRxX ), LG 55LJ550T, Panasonic TH-55ES500D (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2vlVEZl ), Samsung 55M6300 (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2vNUgle , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/52GagTuuuN ).

which is best flour mill to buy?

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

I am sorry, we do not have data on flour mills.

any brand recommendation?

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

No not really.

Hello Abhishekji,
I want to buy a new TV for my hall of size 17*20 ,but due to furniture of room it's size reduces to approximately 15*17. So please suggest me smart TV under 50k ? Main use of TV is watching movies, serials etc.
Best picture quality ,good dolby digitalsound Thanks in advance

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

I think the best TV for you would be Panasonic TH-43DS630D (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2rEGVbC , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/kGzsdTuuuN ) .... The picture quality would be really good because it has IPS SUper bright panel for better contrast, Hexa Croma Drive for good color representation and 400 Hz BMR fast refresh rate for blur free viewing of fast moving action scenes. It also has large box speakers for home theater like sound. And it is a SMART TV. I think this will be the best in your budget.

Thank you Abhishekji for your quick reply...Thanks once again

I want to buy a new TV. Can you please kindly suggest a good option ?
Requirements are -
1. 49 Inches
2. budget 50-55K max
3. Need a good brand and I dont prefer Vu, micromax etc. Preferably of LG/Panasonic
4. Not sure of the difference between Full HD and UHD, which is better?
5. Smart TV is not necessary as i can add an amazon fire stick to it and save money

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Hi Nachiket,

At 49 inch UHD will certainly look better than Full HD, but I doubt that you will get a 49 inch UHD from LG/Panasonic in your budget. You can certainly get Full HD TV from these brands. Also in general TVs with better specs for picture quality also have SMART features. Brands like Sony have stopped making non SMART TVs.

In your budget the TV with best picture quality would be Panasonic TH-49DS630D (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2s7MAsd , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/kGYw4TuuuN ) ... this TV has IPS Super Bright Panel (for good contrast and wide angle viewing), Hexa Croma Drive from Panasonic for better colour pallete (vibrant colors), Noise Reduction and adaptive backlight dimming. It also has 400 Hz BMR refresh rate for blur free viewing of fast moving action scenes. But it is a SMART TV with Opera OS. Amazon Fire Stick would certainly provide better interface that the inbuilt smart OS. But then from picture perspective, this would be the best TV in your budget.

You may also look at another SMART TV LG 49LH576T (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2rPOH0P , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/xGVZX!NNNN ) ... this TV has LG's WebOS which is actually a great OS. But then the picture technology is not as good as the panasonic model I have mentioned above.

I think the panasonic model is the best model. If you do not like the OS in that you may put an amazon fire stick .... but otherwise I feel it is a great value for money product.

Thanks for the reply.
A local dealer showed me LG 49LJ554T model of LG and is giving me a good price of around 55K.
I am not able to find reviews of this model online. Can you please help me with review of this model? how does it fare in comparison with the LG model you mentioned in above comment?

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Hi Nachiket,

LG 49LJ554T has Color Master Engine for better colors which will be similar to Panasonic's Hexa Croma Drive. The PMI level is also high, so this TV will be really good in terms of picture quality. LG does not mention refresh rate but they put everything in their PMI. So with high PMI the picture quality would be really good for this TV. LG's Web OS is also better than Panasonic's OS (in fact it is the best in market). I think this model would be better than the models I mentioned in my comment.

Hi, I'd like to buy a Full-HD LED TV of size 39-43 inch at budget INR 20 to 30k. It it better to buy a SMART TV itself or buy a Chromecast, Firestick or something of that sort to make it work from the functional and cost perspective? Also is IPS display better than A+grade panel or ? I had read a response in the Q&A forum (I don't find it now) saying Panasonic 43" Full-HD (2015 release) or 40" Full-HD Smart (2016 release) was better over VU. Given the new series of releases in 2017 (from VU and others), could you please kindly recommend the best make(s) and model(s) for me? Thanks & Regards

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Hi Prakash,

A+, A, B, etc are quality standards for LCD panels. Usually an LCD screen can still show an image if some of the pixels are damaged. A+ panel has the least number of damaged pixel. It is not a technology, but a quality standard. IPS or in plane switching is a technology. An IPS panel can also be A+ grade if it does not have any defective pixel. Different brands follow different policies. Some have zero defective pixel guarantee while some follow ISO 13406-2 guidelines on number of effective dead pixels acceptable.

For e.g LG has this policy: http://www.lg.com/in/support/product-help/CT20150033-1338448736255-others

Although I am not able to find pixel policy of other brands in India (none have mentioned them).

By the way in your budget, I think these are some good choices:

Sanyo XT-43S7100F (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2uZdEu3 ) .... Sanyo is a company that was purchased by Panasonic a few years back. They wanted to launch a brand that is comparable to Vu and Micromax without diluting their Panasonic brand and that is why they launched Sanyo. The TV has good specs and good picture quality. But it is not a SMART TV.

Vu T43D1510 .... a 43 inch Full HD TV from Vu. Again a good TV which good picture quality. But no SMART Features.

Micromax 43T7670fhd (Amazon Link: http://amzn.to/2sGUuFZ , Flipkart Link: http://fkrt.it/kEgwWTuuuN )

All these brands ate quite comparable in terms of picture quality, reviews and feedback. Sanyo has IPS panel while the other two do not have IPS. You can convert a TV to SMART by using Chromecast or Firestick. With Chromecast you will need a smartphone as it does not convert TV to SMART without a smartphone. Firestick on the other had is a better way to convert a non smart tv to smart even without a smart phone.

LG webOS3.0 is best operating system. Android sucks. You might think Google Play has wide ranges of app but it isn't. Most of the Sony TV have very limited compatibility with most of the apps. Besides this Sony inbuilt Wi-fi has poor connectivity. With time it automatically loose the network. I brought one recently, within 2 weeks, i have a big white spot in middle of the screen, a burn-out patch of pixels.

I want to bye washing machine under price 17000rs. What washing has good motor just like we said fans with copper blades and copper motor are good

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

Hi Aman,

It is not the blades and motor that are made of copper. It is the windings (the wires) inside that need to be made of copper. Leaving that aside, usually the manufacturers do not provide the details to that level and so it is not possible to pick out a machine that has copper windings in the motor.

Also this page is about TV and your question is about Washing Machines, so I would suggest that you look at this page for information: https://www.bijlibachao.com/appliances/best-washing-machine-brand-buying-guide-india.html

Please avoid asking questions on different appliances on a different page. This does not go well for the forum as people coming on this page will be looking for information on TV and not on washing machines.

i am going to buy sony klv 32w 562d is it the ok with its specifications

Abhishek Jain (Mod)

It is good with specifications. But what are you comparing it with?
