Domestic Electricity LT Tariff Slabs and Rates for all states in India in 2013

By on April 29, 2015

As the electricity tariff rates keep changing every year, we at Bijli Bachao thought that it will be very useful for our readers to know about the latest tariff slabs and rates applicable for 2013. So we do our research for all the states in India regularly and publish a table that lists all the latest tariff slabs and rates applicable for LT (Low Tension) domestic customers in urban centers in India. As the tariffs change, we update them in the list. Please note that these do not apply to commercial, rural or HT connections. Also note that the slabs are not the only constituent of an electricity bill, and there are several other components that make up the electricity bill. You can use our calculator at link to calculate and evaluate your electricity bill.

Thank you for providing rates of all states at one place. There is a small correction:

There is a condition for Andhra Pradesh: monthly consumption more than 100 and upto 200 units –
First 50 units 2.6
51-100 units 2.6
101-150 units 3.6
151-200 units 3.6

The rates you have given are correct for monthly consumption more than 200 units.

Thanks,
Ramki

Hi Afjal,

The billing should be monthly or bi-monthly. So you should get a bill is maximum of 2 months of starting a connection. If you have not got it, you should contact Pashchimanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd helpline (details on this link: http://pvvnlhelpline.com/).

If you are not getting satisfactory responses, you can also log a customer grievance at PVVNL grievance cell (details on: http://www.pvvnl.org/consumer_grievances.html).

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Abhishek

Hello Mr Tarun,

I could not find any separate tariff for educational institutions in Punjab Tariff Order. For non-Residential supply the tariff is Rs 6.45 for first 100 units and Rs 6.58 for the rest.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Abhishek
